When you create a Hypervault account, you create a login and a Master Password. Your Master Password is your private key to encrypt all of your data stored in Hypervault. Only with your Master Password, Hypervault will be able to decrypt your data locally on your device and grant you access to your stored data.
It is crucial that your Master Password is complex (hard to guess) and that you keep it stored away safely and in a way you'll never lose it.
Why?
Because your Master Password is the only way to unlock your Hypervault account. Forever and always.
We do not store your master password and therefore we can’t recover it for you!
If you forget your Master Password, unfortunately, this means the data that you saved in Hypervault can no longer be decrypted and your entire account and all workspaces must be reset to begin using Hypervault again.
